It's really fun for me to travel with watercolors. They are spontaneous and capture water and the movement of the ocean beautifully. This is one of my most favorite scenes on Kauai and I feel like it really has a "vintage" feeling and fittingly, it's the beach directly across from the historic Coco Palms resort.

Sometimes the wildest, most untamed settings make for the best paintings. That's how I feel about this piece. This is actually a scene that I came across on the South Shore of Kauai and I just fell in love with the untamed nature and mood of this little ocean front lot.
