This was a really neat moment...a flock of birds was flying out of the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor and a sail boat was cruising in. One of my closest friends used to live behind this tidy little harbor and painting these scenes brings back many fond memories of walking and talking on the beach followed by cups of Sweet & Spicy tea.

Moody ocean scenes are among my favorite subjects to paint. I lived near this seaside town, Capitol, for nearly a decade and it's influences are strong in my life. This is one of the mature fan palms that is located in the Capitola Village.

Tomorrow morning I will be flying to New York on business. This is an exciting time in my career as so many options are opening up.
