One of the things I appreciate most about my travels to Florida is the dramatic weather. I love the contrast in the sky and just as Hawaii is known for it's orange and pink sunsets, Florida is known for it's ever changing sky. I find the constant contrasts in colors stunningly beautiful.

It was late in the day in San Diego and then all of a sudden the rain clouds came in and the sky started to darken to these dramatic blues, purples, oranges and reds. This particular 50s style track house with it's mature king palms struck me as interesting.

This is the front garden grounds of the Santa Barbara Court House. I'm typically a painter who enjoys detail. This little painting definitely has a lot packed into it but my goal was to create an impression for a larger painting that I will do at a later date.
