I'm back in my studio since my return from Kauai and here is my first new painting! There is a serenity in this scene that is echoed by the peacefulness of the soft blue sky. A white bird glides by over the unbroken stillness of the water.

One of the things I appreciate most about my travels to Florida is the dramatic weather. I love the contrast in the sky and just as Hawaii is known for it's orange and pink sunsets, Florida is known for it's ever changing sky. I find the constant contrasts in colors stunningly beautiful.
